Tractor Trailer Repair Shop in Tacoma, WA

A tractor-trailer is two pieces of equipment, and both of them fail. We service the power unit and the box — engine, driveline and brakes up front, kingpin, landing gear, trailer ABS, suspension and doors out back — without sending you to a second shop.
  • 94% of trucks back on the road within 48 hours
  • Certified heavy-duty diesel mechanics (10+ years avg. experience)
  • Only OEM-grade parts — no cheap replacements
Both Units, One Stop
Tractor and trailer get worked in the same visit, so you are not paying two shops and losing two days for one set of problems.
Trailer-Specific Work
Kingpins, upper couplers, landing gear, trailer ABS faults, air lines, suspension, floors, doors and lighting.
Brakes Across the Combination
Foundation brakes, slack adjusters, chambers and air leaks checked on the whole combination, not just the axle you noticed.
DOT Annual on Both
We perform certified DOT annual inspections on the tractor and the trailer, so both stickers come out of the same visit.

About us

Drivers usually book a tractor-trailer job for one symptom and leave with two units fixed, because that is how combinations wear. A trailer that pulls to one side is often a suspension or brake balance problem, not a tire. An ABS lamp that will not clear is usually a wheel-speed sensor or a chafed harness back on the trailer. A hard fifth-wheel pull points at the kingpin or upper coupler. Our Tacoma shop works the whole combination: up front the engine, clutch and transmission, steering, air system and electrical; out back the kingpin and upper coupler, landing gear, trailer suspension and air bags, brakes and chambers, lighting, floors, doors and body damage — we weld in house. Certified DOT annual inspections cover both units in the same visit. We are at 1616 E 26th St in Tacoma, minutes from the Port terminals and between I-5 and SR-509, which is where most of this equipment already runs. Call (425) 900-6212 with what the combination is doing and we will tell you which end of it is the problem.

How to Get Started with Us

1
Tell Us What It Is Doing
Call (425) 900-6212 and describe the symptom — pulling, an ABS lamp, a dragging brake, a hard fifth-wheel pull.
2
Inspect the Combination
We put the tractor and trailer on air, scan both, and check brakes, suspension and coupling as a system.
3
Estimate Per Unit
You get the estimate broken out by tractor and trailer, so you can approve one, the other or both.
4
Repair, Test and DOT
We repair, road test the combination, and can issue the DOT annual inspections on both units before release.

FAQ

Do you repair the trailer as well as the tractor?

Yes — both, in the same visit. Trailer work includes kingpins and upper couplers, landing gear, suspension and air bags, brakes and chambers, ABS faults, air lines, lighting, floors, doors and body or frame damage.

My trailer ABS light will not go out. Can you fix that?

Usually. A trailer ABS lamp is most often a wheel-speed sensor, a damaged harness or a modulator valve. We scan the trailer directly rather than guessing at the fault.

Can you do the DOT annual inspection on both units at once?

Yes. We are a certified DOT inspection facility and can inspect the tractor and the trailer in the same visit, so both come out with current stickers.

The truck pulls to one side under braking. Where do you start?

On the combination, not one axle. We check brake balance, slack adjusters, chambers and air pressure across tractor and trailer, then suspension and alignment.

Do you replace kingpins and repair upper couplers?

Yes. Kingpin wear and upper coupler damage are common on high-cycle drayage equipment, and both are repairable in our shop with welding done in house.

Can I drop the trailer and pick it up later?

Yes. Drop-and-hook works well for trailer-only jobs — leave the box with us, keep the tractor working, and collect it when the repair is done.
