18 Wheeler Repair Shop in Tacoma, WA

Most 18 wheelers that come to us arrive with a light on and nobody sure what it means. We start with diagnostics — engine and chassis fault codes, aftertreatment data, electrical and air-system testing — and repair what the truck actually tells us is wrong.
  • 94% of trucks back on the road within 48 hours
  • Certified heavy-duty diesel mechanics (10+ years avg. experience)
  • Only OEM-grade parts — no cheap replacements
Diagnostics First
We pull engine and chassis codes, read live data and test the circuit before any part gets replaced. No parts-cannon repairs.
Aftertreatment Work
DPF, DEF and SCR faults, forced regens, sensor and dosing problems — the derate warnings that shut a truck down mid-run.
Electrical Troubleshooting
Chafed harnesses, corroded grounds, charging faults and no-start conditions traced to the wire instead of guessed at.
Air System Testing
Slow build-up, dragging brakes and audible leaks found on air with the combination hooked, not by ear in the yard.

About us

An 18 wheeler rarely gives you a clean symptom. You get a derate, a check engine lamp, an ABS light and a truck that runs fine until it does not. Our Tacoma shop is set up for exactly that: we connect to the engine and chassis modules, pull active and stored codes, and read live data instead of replacing the first sensor in the manual. That approach matters most on aftertreatment — DPF, DEF and SCR faults cost real money when they are guessed at, and a forced regen is not a repair if the dosing system is the problem. The same discipline goes for electrical: no-starts, charging faults, dead circuits and intermittent lights get traced through the harness to the actual break. From the diagnosis we do the repair in house — engine work, injectors, clutch and transmission, brakes and air, suspension, steering and wiring, plus certified DOT annual inspections. Our facility is at 1616 E 26th St in Tacoma, between I-5 and SR-509 and minutes from the Port. Call (425) 900-6212 with the code or the symptom and we will start there.

FAQ

My 18 wheeler is in derate. Can you clear it?

We can, but clearing a derate without fixing the cause just buys a few miles. We read the fault, find whether it is aftertreatment, dosing, a sensor or wiring, repair that, then clear and re-scan.

Do you diagnose DPF, DEF and SCR problems?

Yes. Aftertreatment is a large part of what we do — failed regens, DEF quality and dosing faults, NOx and temperature sensors, and clogged filters that need cleaning or replacement.

Can you find an electrical fault that other shops could not?

Often, yes, because we trace the circuit rather than swap parts. Most stubborn faults on an 18 wheeler are a chafed harness, a corroded ground or a connector, not the component itself.

Do you charge for diagnostics?

Diagnostic time is billed, and we tell you the rate up front. You get the codes, the test results and a written estimate before any repair is authorized.

What makes does the shop scan and service?

Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International and Western Star, with the Detroit, Cummins, PACCAR MX and Volvo/Mack engine families behind them.

How long does a diagnosis take?

Most trucks get a diagnosis the same day they arrive. Repair time after that depends on parts, which we confirm with you before you approve the job.
